The Pediatric Society of Thailand has long emphasized the critical dangers posed by e-cigarettes to children and youth, advocating for the protection of the pediatric population. Fortunately, Thailand has implemented laws prohibiting the import and sale of e-cigarettes.
In response, on March 13, 2025, the Pediatric Society of Thailand, alongside other medical professional organizations, the Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Center, and various civic and youth networks, submitted a letter to the President of Thailand Parliament which urged the preservation of laws prohibiting the import and sale of e-cigarettes and called for strict enforcement across all sectors to protect children and youth in the country.
